It opened on October 11, 2024, at a ribbon cutting ceremony during which welcoming remarks were made to those in attendance by the resort GM, Brett Cook, and Pennsylvania Snowsports museum chairperson Joe Painter. Appreciation was expressed to those who had played a significant part in its creation. Included were Nicole Onusko, who helped with accomodations for the visitors, the Dupre family, and Gerit Lewisch.
The museum is located in the center lobby of the main lodge. It is beautifully constructed and ideally located for those who visit and work at the area to enjoy. The museum celebrates the nearly 90 year history of skiing at Seven Springs. There are interesting artifacts, photos, signage, postcards, skis, clothing and other items that tell the captivating story of Seven Springs Resort. The museum’s curators hope to keep displays fresh by periodically rotating items. In short, it is a most welcome addition to preserving the local history of skiing and snowboarding in Pennsylvania.
